Summer vacations
were always fun for us, my khalas and phuphoo used to visit us , and then mom
and aunties would talk till late night about so many family issues, still remember those good old days....so many memories to
cherish. We had some guava trees in our garden and we never really took the
fruit off to eat, it was always the parrots that enjoyed most of the guavas
during summer days. Once my ami’s youngest sister visited us, she took off the
guavas form the tree and made this yummy chaat for us, it take a few minutes to
get ready and bursts with flavors …
½ kg guavas/ amrood
Salt to taste
¼ tsp red chilies powder
¼ tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
Method:
Ingredients:
½ kg guavas/ amrood
Salt to taste
¼ tsp red chilies powder
¼ tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
Method:
Wash, deseed and cut the guavas
in to chunks. Add salt, sugar, red chili powder, black pepper powder and lemon
juice in a bowl. You can also use chat masala instead of red chili powder and
black pepper powder. You can serve it fresh, but I usually let it rest for half
an hour or more, by this the fruit releases their juices, all the flavors blend
in and it tastes awesome.
